Testing Vert

I think somehow the switch was turned on.  I am starting to focus on the possibilities and opportunities that are opening up to me.  Balance was a giant wall last year that I could not overcome.  Life just wanted to teach me some valuable lessons and I way paying attention to them.  I saw some major flaws in the system and now I am going to fix them and destroy my goals this year.

I want to do a challenge for December.  I will be doing 1,000ft of vertical climb a day and a burpee challenge of 100 burpees a day.  Nutrition changes and some stretching will be started as well.  I have been pre training for the challenge.  I have been seeking out the best possible way to fit in the 1,000ft and I have been doing 50 burpees a day for several days now.  Man am I out of shape.

I am going to be doing a few social media things to hold myself accountable and to document my progress.  I have things together where I think I can pump out a few videos a week and match them up with daily vlogs.  What do you think is more interesting, is it the 100 burpees a day challenge or the 1,000ft a day challenge?  Leave a comment and give me your thoughts.  The video above is the hill I will be doing repeats on to get the 1,000ft a day.

    • I missed the sign up for Hyner. Probably doing Worlds End 100k and Eastern States 100 again with another one or two random 100k or 100 milers sprinkled in. Thank you for staying in touch. Had a blast running with you last year. One of the biggest reasons I run races is to meet cool people. Hope all is well.

  1. I’m a vert guy. Don’t care for aerobics. I say 7k a week goal is nice and attainable. Gives you flex if you can’t make it out everyday. Just have killer Saturday or Sunday to make up the rest. You live in a hilly area?

    • I have a mountain by me that is 700ft to the top and is 1.25 miles. I also have a cornfield that is right in my backyard that is 0.5 miles to the top and 270ft of climb. It’s just getting the time to do it all.
